Chris Frison (JHS '90) and Lisa Lockwood (JHS '89)

We are true high school sweethearts. I was a way too skinny beanpole sophomore, lured into the wily ways of a cute Junior High Kicker captain.

It was 1988 and Lisa Lockwood needed a date for the Spring Symphony set “Dirty Dancing” party March 11,1988. I was approached by one of the senior varsity Linebackers to ask if I wanted to go to the dance with her… She was too scared to ask herself, so she sent her intimidating ambassador (how could I say no)!

We went had a great time and dated all through-out high school, hanging out at the burger bar with our pizza pockets and vanilla shakes, and hacky sack in the courtyard. Our first real date was Mondo's Ristorante Italian on Peoria, back when it was still a whole in the wall.

Lisa graduated Jenks in 1989 and went to University of Kansas ….a year later I followed. We dated all through college, and had the time of our lives. We often traded going on vacations with each others families, both in high school and college. Lisa finally graduated in 1993, but I was on the long-term college plan and we were finally married in Tulsa June 1, 1996, six months after I graduated KU.

We now live in Houston and have two boys, one at Auburn and one potentially going to OU in the fall. Lisa is a Principal of a Elementary and I’m a Creative Director at a design firm.
