Because of our age difference we did not know each other well while we were in school. We rode the same bus and I knew her older sister Deborah Ogle. Jenks was a small school in those days so you knew your friends families.

After high school I attended a semester at OSU then moved to South Texas for work. I lived in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Houston, and Victoria, TX. Leigh attended Westminster College in Fulton, MO and OU Law School.

I moved back to Tulsa in 1981 finding a job as a tank truck dispatcher thus introducing me to the asphalt business. Leigh returned to Tulsa in 1987.

Shortly thereafter we met at her family’s cabin at Grand Lake. It was hit and miss dating, however, we were married on January 6, 1990.

I was an oil/asphalt salesman and Leigh worked for an insurance Defence law firm and finished her career as a law clerk in the Federal Courts for the honorable James O. Ellison.
We adopted our daughter, Claire Reaves, at birth on December 21,1995.

Today we live in Tulsa, OK. We’ve been married for 34 years. We started our own business in 2004. We have three businesses, Asphalt and Fuel Supply, AF Transport, and Lone Star Specialties.

We try to travel to places we’ve never been, spending time in Tulsa enjoying and supporting our community, and frequenting our home in Cabo San Lucas.
