Troy Reavis and I (Jen Rath, now Jen Reavis) met on the Jenks HS swim team. Troy was swim team captain and I had just moved to Jenks HS as a sophomore from Maryland. Our Jenks memories include homecoming parades, formals, swim meets/State Championships (Coach Turner) and DECA Nationals (Dr Baker and Ms Carlson) where I was president my senior year (alongside Suzanne Smith, now Suzanne Watson). 

We both went onto college at OU then moved to Charlotte, NC. Troy built his career In technology and works at Microsoft. My career is in Marketing (go, DECA and the 4 P’s or Marketing)! Over the years we worked hard and travelled the world together - often times joined by our high school and college friends. We attended the Olympics in Beijing in 2008 and returned to China years later to adopt our little girl - Olivia! That was a huge life dream of mine and a love story all on its own. 

We now live on Lake Norman, North Carolina. Olivia is almost 11 and loves school, gymnastics, her pup, “Teddy” and as a family we enjoy long summer days - especially 4th of July fireworks while being dragged through the lake on a tube or rope “fish on a line”!

Troy and and I tackle all of the ups and downs in life together and know how rare it is to have known each other almost 30 years!  But for us - it’s the greatest love story of all time.
