John Jennings and Whitney Cannon met in the Jenks High School Trojan Pride marching band in 2003. A grade ahead of her, John played trombone and Whitney played mellophone. They were very good friends, but for Valentine’s Day 2005 John decided it was time to take it to the next step. He sleuthed Whitney’s locker combination and placed white roses and other gifts in her locker. Soon after, they became boyfriend and girlfriend... And the rest is history! 

They attended OU together, married in April 2016, and welcomed current Jenks Trojan John (Jack) Wilson Jennings in June 2019. John and Whitney live in Jenks with Jack and two dogs, Abby and Polly. Jack attends Jenks West and Whitney and John love to stay involved with all his activities with Jenks Public Schools. They are so happy to continue life in Jenks!
